How Will Valuations Be Carried Out Now Restrictions Have Been Eased?

The health of my clients and staff are of the upmost importance to me, and we will make sure that we we conduct our services safely and responsibly once restrictions have been eased. We have looked into the Government Guidelines and put the following systems in place to make sure we can keep you all as safe as possible whilst valuing your home.

When booking your appointment you will be asked to confirm whether you or anyone in your household are showing any Covid-19 symptoms(no matter how mild) and whether you are self isolating or in a high risk group. If you are feeling unwell, isolating or in a high risk group then we will be able to offer you a social distancing valuation or we can postpone the appointment and reschedule for another date.

We have prepared an online form that will be sent out to you on the morning of the valuation prior to the appointment going ahead. In order to keep everyone safe and stop the spread the valuation will only proceed once the form has been received and both you and our valuer are in good health.

If your home is being valued, we ask that you open all internal doors, and turn on all lights prior to the appointment. This is to limit the need for us to touch your surfaces in your home.

We encourage you to vacate your home by popping into your garden or car whilst the valuation is taking place. We hate to do this but the guidance states that we have to keep face to face contact to a minimum. .

Social distancing measures will need to be adhered to and we will be wearing masks and gloves on the appointment. This is to protect you and keep you safe. We will also be sanitising our hands before and after the appointment.

We can either discuss our figures outside following social distancing measures or we can give you a ring/facetime from the car to run through everything.

The guidance is not to take or leave any paper documents at your home. So we will be emailing our marketing plan, valuation, comparables and marketing documents over when we return to the office.

Once the valuation has taken place, we ask that you ensure surfaces, such as door handles, are cleaned with standard household cleaning products

I know this is an unsettling time and we will do all we can to help and work at a pace that suits you. We all have different circumstances and I totally understand that you may still feel worried about selling and booking a face to face valuation.

In this instance we will offer you a social distancing valuation. This type of valuation is 90% accurate and we wont need to come around to your home until you are ready to put your home one market.

We have viewings guide for our vendors and viewings guide for buyers available too, so you can have a read through our procedures on how we ensure viewings will be safely conducted prior to you coming on the market.

These are unprecedented times and there is no right or wrong way as to how we should all be feeling.

As a company our goal has always been to help. Things are not going to back to normal straight away and with all the uncertainty, I feel it's important for you to know how we will be conducting our services while we try and get back to some sort of normality.

If you would like to discuss anything mentioned in this post or just need a chat please don't hesitate to get in touch.

In the meantime keep safe and take care

Katie xx
