Welcome To Y Gerddi

Welcome To Y Gerddi

We are delighted to be appointed as selling agents for these lovely three and four bedroom detached homes.

Location

This lovely development is set just off St Teilo Street in the heart of Pontarddulais and will boast a mix of detached bungalows and three to four bedroom detached houses.

Pontarddulais, nicknamed ‘Bont’, is a community-orientated town situated 10 miles northwest of Swansea City Centre.

Not to be overlooked, this quaint Welsh town has lots of fantastic features for all the family to enjoy!

The fabulous Coed Bach Park boasts activities for all of the family! You can take a relaxing stroll, or embark on the fitness trail! There are tennis courts, a children’s play area, an orienteering course, walking trails, a bowling green, picnic benches to enjoy a spot of lunch, accessible toilets, and lots of woodland to explore. This is the perfect place for a fun-filled family day out!

For those who love exploring the outdoors, Graig Fawr is not one to miss! It is an 11 mile walking route, starting just off the A48 in Pontarddulais, by the Fountain Inn. This hike takes you through unspoilt common land, which is regarded as a Site of Interest for Nature Conservation.Whilst walking, you will be treated to breath-taking views across the Loughor Estuary, Llanelli, Gorseinon, and Ammanford. The best views can be seen from the trip point atop Graig Fawr, if you can get there!

Bont has a number of really good schools, including the English-speaking Pontarddulais Primary School, the English-speaking Pontarddulais Comprehensive School, and the Welsh-speaking primary school, Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Bryniago In fact, the English-speaking Pontarddulais primary school has recently been awarded a Bronze Award for the Siarter Iaith project - a project introduced by the Welsh Assembly to all schools in Wales to promote the Welsh language. Having the option of both English and Welsh primary schools in the local area is fantastic for a young family who want the choice of teaching their child either language.

Pontarddulais is only 10 miles northwest of Swansea City Centre, which is excellent if you’d like to venture into the city.

If you need to travel by train, then the Pontarddulais railway station is on the Heart of Wales Line. This line runs from Shropshire to Llanelli, and goes through some of the heartlands of Wales. You can travel to Llandrindod Wells for a relaxing weekend away, and can also get to Builth Wells.

Of course, the line can also get you to Swansea rail station rather quickly if you don’t fancy driving.

From there, you can get to Cardiff in around half an hour, and even to London in around 2 hours!

The A48 runs through Pontarddulais, and the town is also reachable via the M4, if you leave at Junction 48.
